I'm moving into a 2000 sq.ft. office that needs some work. I'm not wanting it to look like a palace but just professionally respectful.

About 30% of the total amount spent. You are paying for them to oversee and delegate trades, their expertise, the drawings, planning all while keeping to your budget. They work closely with you to make sure you get exactly what you want but with their flair. Don't get scared when you hear "Interior Designer" you don't need a massive budget as you are paying for their creativity to make sure you are comfortable with the money spent.
